Terms of Use

Last updated: October 16, 2026

These terms cover your purchase and use of Pulse, a native macOS system monitor made and sold by Edward Chiang (“we”, “us”). By buying or using Pulse you agree to them.

Purchase and payment

Pulse costs $16.00 USD, as a one-time purchase. Direct purchases are made through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record (reseller) for your order. Lemon Squeezy processes your payment, collects applicable taxes, and issues invoices and refunds. Your purchase is also subject to the Lemon Squeezy buyer terms.

After purchase you receive a license key by email.

License

Each purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable license to use Pulse. One license activates Pulse on up to 2 Macs at a time. You can deactivate a Mac in Pulse Settings → About to free a slot for another Mac.

You may not:

  • reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble Pulse, except where the law expressly allows it;
  • resell, rent, share or distribute Pulse or your license key;
  • remove or work around the licensing checks.

Pulse through Setapp

If you get Pulse through Setapp, your use is covered by your Setapp subscription, and Setapp’s own terms and privacy policy apply to that subscription.

Refunds

You can get a refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked. Email support@getpulsemac.com or use the link in your Lemon Squeezy order email or receipt. Lemon Squeezy issues the refund. Once a purchase is refunded, its license is disabled.

Updates

Updates for Pulse 1.x are included with your purchase and are released at our discretion. A purchase does not include future major versions.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Pulse is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Readings such as temperatures, power and usage come from macOS and your hardware and may not always be exact.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to Pulse is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
